Other Missions and Ministries
to There are other mission opportunities that present themselves. After Hurricane Sandy and after Hurricane Dean, we provided food rations to distribute to the needy. After Dean, the main road to Kingston and to the port was unusable for many weeks. So, food was in short supply; however, we saw it coming and purchased food before it hit.
Mr. Lynch is a well known and respected man who makes charcoal and paints signs. His house was tiny, in horrible condition and he slept on a rough hewn log with an 18 inch mat and newspapers. He was being evicted from the land, and then Hurricane Sandy damaged his home. We were ready to build him a small house, but the only land he could find was 8 miles from this job and his friends.
So, after building his house, we bought him a bicycle. He also benefits from our food distribution programs.
We built him a bed and purchased him a mattress as well.
